60 years ago I suffered a trauma that changed my life. Fast forward 53 years and another bad episode in my life led myself and my husband to seek marriage counselling. I learned there that to be able to move on I needed to go for trauma counselling and a referral was sent.

This led me to meet Carey. I was very anxious and in quite a bad place - my emotions were all over the place and I met Carey. Immediately she put me at ease and slowly but surely she assured me and calmed me down and the words and feelings I had locked inside me came flooding out along with tears.

Carey was so very kind. She is not judgemental at all. She listens and always makes eye contact which made me feel like she was immersed in what I was saying and that she cared. She is sympathetic and intuitive.

Her gentle ways and kindness helped me to face my past and she guided me to a feeling where I mattered. For the first time in a long time I felt worthy of love. I had been in a dark place for many years, I had pushed aside and buried the past, but Carey brought this back into the light thus allowing me to face my problems and finally conquer my fears.

She has changed my life and now I finally feel like I have a fresh outlook on life. That I do deserve love and I am worthy.

Thank you Carey. You have achieved something and brought to life something in me that I thought had died a long time ago -my self respect and confidence.
